Community Meeting Will Be Held on the New Hampshire Avenue (MD 650) High Injury Network Safety Study in Silver Spring on Thursday, April 11

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a community meeting to discuss safety improvements on New Hampshire Avenue on Thursday, April 11.

Per the news release:  On Thursday, April 11, starting at 6:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold an in-person community meeting to present safety improvements identified by the New Hampshire Avenue (MD 650) High Injury Network Safety Study. The in-person community meeting will take place at the Roscoe Nix Elementary School located at 1100 Corliss Street in Silver Spring. The public will have an opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions.

At the community meeting, MCDOT will present the concept designs to connect missing portions of sidewalk at the following three locations:

  • At New Hampshire Avenue Service Road between Oakview Drive and Cottrell Terrace.
  • At Mt. Pisgah Road between Oakview Drive and Madre Street.
  • At New Hampshire Avenue Service Road and the east side of New Hampshire Avenue (MD 650).

Online registration is voluntary. Meeting materials will be posted on the project website prior to the scheduled meeting.
