MCPS To Host Zoom Meeting This Month For Community Feedback on Search For New Superintendent

MCPS has sent out communication thanking the community for its participation in three forums hosted across the county earlier this month. They’ll be hosting an additional zoom meeting on Monday, April 15th at 6pm for anyone wishing to participate.

Per MCPS: “The Board of Education appreciates your participation as it embarks on the important task of selecting the next superintendent of schools. Thank you to all the community members who have already been involved in the process through the three forums hosted around the county from April 2-4. Your input is invaluable.

To ensure we capture the characteristics that the community hopes to see in the next superintendent of schools, the Board is hosting an additional opportunity for community participation via Zoom on Monday, April 15 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Register here. Direct link: https://bit.ly/3xs5xsx

When registering, you may request a language-specific engagement. Please note that there is a capacity limit for registration to ensure a positive small-group discussion experience. If registration exceeds capacity limits, you will be directed to a waitlist and contacted should an opportunity to participate arise.

The Board is committed to conducting a thorough, transparent search process that reflects the needs and aspirations of our diverse community. Your feedback plays a vital role in shaping the qualities the Board seeks in the next superintendent.

Take the Survey: Please take a moment to fill out the online survey. The survey is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts, concerns and aspirations for the district’s future. The Board will carefully consider all responses in developing the leadership profile to recruit, identify and evaluate candidates.
