Detectives Investigating Wheaton Stabbing

Montgomery County Police has released surveillance footage of a suspect wanted in connection to a stabbing that occurred in November.


Per the news release: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are investigating a stabbing that occurred on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in the 11200 block of Triangle Lane in Wheaton. Detectives have released surveillance video of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him. At approximately 2:35 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the location for the report of a stabbing.

The investigation has revealed that the victim parked his vehicle in the 11200 block of Georgia Avenue. While the victim was walking on Triangle Lane, the male suspect approached him, displayed a knife and demanded money. When the victim refused to give him money, the suspect stabbed the victim two times in his right arm. The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the victim and left the scene.

Detectives reviewed the surveillance footage of a nearby metro station and obtained a description of the suspect. The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a gray Nike hooded sweatshirt, glasses, gray sweatpants, Nike flip flops and a black backpack.
