Frederick County Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of RT 355 and RT 85 for an injured subject laying in the roadway on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11:48 pm.
According to police, upon arrival an adult female was located in the roadway and was treated for injuries by personnel from the Department of Fire and Rescue Services and flown to a regional trauma center where she remains with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police added that further investigation determined that the adult female was not struck by a motor vehicle and the investigation is on going to determine exact details that contributed to her injuries.
