The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued to wind advisory for most of the DMV and surrounding areas that will remain in effect until 6pm.
Per the National Weather Service, west winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts around 45 mph overnight, increasing to 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 50 mph Saturday. This will impact portions of central, north-central, and northern Maryland, The District of Columbia, and northern Virginia.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
