Somewhat surprisingly, for just $35 you can buy an autographed copy of Katie Ledecky’s upcoming book (the price has since been increased to $49.99), “Just Add Water: My Swimming Life“. The book chronicles Ledecky’s life from her Bethesda roots to her historic Olympic domination.

Ledecky was raised in Bethesda, where she attended Little Flower School through eighth grade and attended high school at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, where she graduated in 2015. During her high-school swimming career at Stone ridge, Ledecky twice set the American and US Open record in the 500-yard freestyle, and she twice set the national high school record in the 200-yard freestyle. Ledecky finished her high school career as the holder of the Stone Ridge school record in every swimming event except the 100-meter breaststroke.

For those of you considering a purchase of her book, it is important to note the autograph will come on a bookplate sticker you affix to the book yourself. Also, the book comes out June 11 and Ledecky needs a week or two to sign the bookplates.
Interestingly enough, Premiere Collectibles is an online company that sells autographed books for a number of celebrities and notable figures, like Dr. Seuss and President Barack Obama.
