
Montgomery County Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded to an incident in Silver Spring on Thursday, April 18.
According to police, “At approximately 10:10 p.m., MCPD responded to the 3700 block of Glen Eagles Drive for the report for an assault between two adult males. When officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, the suspect assaulted the officers. The suspect then barricaded himself inside his residence. The suspect set a series of small fires in the residence and on the back porch. MCPD officers were able to extinguish one small fire.
A limited number of neighbors were evacuated as a precaution. After a joint response with additional resources from MCPD and MCFRS the subject came out of the residence and was safely taken into custody.”
