The Montgomery County Board of Education (Board) continues to seek public input as part of the nationwide search for a new superintendent of schools.
In a community message sent out on Tuesday, the Board writes, “All families, students, and community members are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete a brief online survey by April 26. The survey is now available in multiple languages including Spanish, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Amharic.
Feedback collected in the survey, along with other public engagement occurring throughout the month, will help shape the development of a leadership profile. The Board will use the leadership profile to guide them as they consider candidates for superintendent of schools.
National recruitment for highly qualified candidates is underway with the assistance of search firm Greenwood Asher & Associates, LLC. The Board anticipates a period of candidate review to begin in May.
The Board is fully committed to conducting a thorough search until a suitable candidate who meets the leadership profile is selected. Stay informed and engaged throughout the process by visiting the Superintendent Search webpage and following MCPS and the Board on social media.”
