MCPS is Hosting a Special Education Resource Fair on May 11

MCPS is hosting this year’s Special Education Family Resource Fair on Saturday, May 11 at Montgomery Blair High School (51 University Blvd. East in Silver Spring). The free event will be held from 10am until 1pm,  and is open to MCPS parents, staff and community members.

Per MCPS, the fair will include valuable resources from a variety of community resources and vendors, and fun children’s activities, including a moon bounces, music, arts and crafts and balloon artists. Special Education Family Resource Fair, 2024

A variety of MCPS special education offices, community organizations and government agencies will be on hand to present information and resources and services to parents and caregivers. Among them: Autism Society of Maryland, Division of Rehabilitation Services, Down Syndrome Network, Independence Now, Maryland Association of Nonpublic Special Education Facilities, Parents’ Place of Maryland, Partnership for Extraordinary Minds, Potomac Community Resources, Raising Orchid Kids, National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled and Special Olympics. Workshops will also be presented.
