Pike El Diamante Now Open in Bethesda

Pike El Diamante Bar, Grill, and Lounge is now open at 4906 St. Elmo Ave in Bethesda. The restaurant is listed as a “South American restaurant” on Google.

Pike El Diamante has taken over the space that was recently home to the short-lived Mandi Mediterranean. Mandi opened in December 2023 and closed just a couple months later. It was described as “an Arabic restaurant that offers a wide variety of Mediterranean appetizers and entrees such as kabobs” on its Facebook page.

The space was also the longtime home of Bangkok Garden, which closed in August 2021 after almost 40 years in business. The website listing for Pike El Diamante on Google still directs to the Mandi Mediterranean website, but based on previous signage in the window when the restaurant was “coming soon”we know it offers items such as tacos, churrascos, pupusas, quesadillas, and shrimp salad.
