In March 2022, we reported that Eleana James would be coming to 8551 Connecticut Ave in the Chevy Chase Lake neighborhood.
According to the Montgomery County ABS, the restaurant is scheduled to have its liquor license hearing on Thursday, June 6.
Elana James is being opened by the founders of DC’s New American restaurant Nina May, Colin McClimans and Danilo Simic, and will be a new, all-day concept serving dishes with seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Menu items listed on its website include Warm Carrot and Shenandoah Valley Arugula Salad, Crispy Carolina Rice and Mushroom Fritters, Cacio e Pepe Agnolotti of Caramelized Onion and Ricotta Cheese, Little Neck Clams with Bloody Butcher Corn, Thyme and Lemon Roasted Pennsylvania Chicken, and Salted Chocolate and Caramel Torte.
