
While some severe thunderstorms are possible today (Sunday, May 26th), a more organized threat looms for Memorial Day, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
For Sunday, “Isolated thunderstorms possible this afternoon & evening, and again overnight. Locally damaging winds and large hail are the main threats.” For Monday, “Potential for multiple rounds of showers & t’storms. Risk for considerable wind damage, large hail, and an isolated tornado. Isolated instances of flooding are also possible.”
Per the NWS via Twitter/X: “Considerable wind damage, large hail & an isolated tornado are possible. Ensure you have a plan in case severe weather impacts you!”
