The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration (SHA) has released its major lane closures for this weekend. They can be seen below, by county:
Anne Arundel County
- Eastbound I-695 between MD 170 and MD 648 – Weekend asphalt patching 8 p.m. Friday June 7 – 5 a.m. Monday June 10 with lane closures. Rescheduled work from 5/3 weekend – Traffic alert is available here.
- I-97 Concrete Pavement Patching Project – Weekend concrete work starting 8 p.m. Friday May 31 along southbound I-97 between MD 648 and MD 100. Drivers advised to use MD 2, MD 295 and I-95 as alternate routes. Traffic alert is available here.
- On-ramp from Oceanic Drive (Exit 32) to eastbound US 50/US 301 (John Hanson Highway) approaching the Chesapeake Bay Bridge – Broadneck Peninsula Summer 2024 Ramp Management Project – This ramp will be closed 10 a.m. Fridays to 6 p.m. Saturdays. - MD 175 / MD 295 Interchange Reconstruction Project – Nighttime single-lane closures along MD 175, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., and weekday single lane closures, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Baltimore County
- I-70/I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) Interchange and I-695/MD 122 (Security Boulevard) Interchange – Interstate highway traffic barrier upgrades – temporary ramp closures week of June 2:
- Ramp from eastbound I-70 to northbound I-695 (inner loop)
- Ramp from westbound MD 122 to southbound I-695 (outer loop)

- MD 26 (Liberty Road) – Marriott La. to Millvale Rd. – Guardrail / median work and installation of new pavement markings – Daytime lane closures on eastbound or westbound 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday – Friday through late spring.
- MD 542 (Loch Raven Blvd.) from south of Taylor Ave. to East Joppa Road – Waterline replacement and roadway improvements. Single lane closures northbound and southbound Daytime 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday – Friday and overnight single lane closures 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. with double lane closures (with aux/turn lane closures where needed at intersections). 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. Sunday – Thursday, through fall 2026.
Carroll County
- MD 91 (Emory Rd) bridge over a branch of the Patapsco River and Maryland Midland Railroad – Bridge replacement project – Closure in place for approximately nine months. Detour uses MD 140 and MD 30.
- MD 407 (Marston Rd) between MD 31 (New Windsor Rd) and MD 27 (Ridge Rd) – Highway patching – Single-lane closure with a flagging operation. Schedule is weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through June.
Charles County
- MD 228 at Western Parkway Intersection Improvements – Nighttime resurfacing and pavement line striping scheduled 9 p.m. 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights. Traffic alert is available here.
Frederick County
- MD 77 (Foxville Rd) between Pryor Rd and Park Central Rd – Drainage improvements – Road closure is expected to end by June. The Maryland Environmental Service is replacing a sewer line. Local traffic and emergency vehicles will have access. Traffic alert is available here.
- MD 383 (Broad Run Rd) between MD 180 (Jefferson Pike) and the bridge over Catoctin Creek – Highway maintenance – Flagging operation Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This resurfacing project is expected to be complete by June.
Harford County
- MD 24 (Rocks Road) between south of Sharon Road and north of Ferncliff Lane – Slope Rehabilitation of MD 24 along Deer Creek – 24/7 Closure and Detour of segment of MD 24 by Deer Creek begins 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 until late fall 2024. Project info and detour map available here.
- US 40 (Pulaski Highway) between the Baltimore/Harford County line (Little Gunpowder Falls) and MD 152 (Mountain Road/Magnolia Road) – Paving – Weekdays, single lane closures 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic alert is available here.
