Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the scene of a crash involving two vehicles at approximately 1:15am early Saturday morning in Gaithersburg.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the crash occurred at Russell Ave and Montgomery Village Avenue near the closed Lakeforest Mall. One of the vehicles involved in the crash caught on fire and that fire was extinguished by responding crews.
Two patients were evaluated on the scene, both with non-life threatening injuries. One of the patients was transported to a local hospital.
