Montgomery County Police and Gaithersburg Police responded to the 18700 block of North Frederick Avenue (near the intersection of 355 and Travis Ave.) in Gaithersburg on Sunday, June 2, for the report of a shooting.
According to police, “At approximately 5:11 a.m., Gaithersburg Police officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue responded to the location for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived at the scene and located an adult male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of the victim will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to be conducted to officially determine the cause and manner of death. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”
