Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the scene of an overturned dump truck on Darnestown Rd (rt. 28) at approximately 8:45am on Tuesday morning.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the crash occurred on Darnestown Rd (Route 28) and Peach Tree Rd and involved a large tractor flipping over with a fuel spill that has blocked all lanes on Rt. 28. HazMat is on the scene.
Alert Montgomery sent the following message: “Alert Montgomery – Severe Traffic Alert: Traffic incident closes Darnestown Road (MD-28) in all directions at Peach Tree Road. Seek alternate route.”
