Boris Josue Bonilla has been identified by family members as the man who was killed in a crash on the inner loop of I-495 at approximately 3am on Wednesday morning.

His family has started a GoFundMe fundraiser to help his mother with funeral costs, referring to Bonilla as a “wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of those around him.”
Troopers from the Maryland State Police Rockville Barrack responded to the crash reported at about 3 a.m. on the inner loop of Interstate 495 at Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland on Wednesday morning. According to a preliminary investigation, a 2005 Honda Accord struck a 2020 Jeep Wrangler and a 2007 Honda Civic while entering I-495 off a ramp from southbound Georgia Avenue.
The drivers of all three vehicles and two passengers in the Civic were transported to the hospital for injuries. The deceased was a passenger in the Accord. Interstate 495 inner loop was closed for several hours. Montgomery County Police and the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration assisted with road closures. The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the investigation. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Per the fundraiser: “Our beloved Boris Josue Bonilla recently passed on June 5th. Boris was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his mother, brothers, niece, nephews, aunt and cousins.
We are all devastated by Boris’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service, we want to give Boris the memorial he deserves to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
I am currently asking for donations to help my aunt cover the cost of Boris’s funeral. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much from all us.”
