The Montgomery Parks Foundation is raising funds to help rebuild the large playground at Greenbriar Local Park (12525 Glen Road). The large playground remains closed indefinitely due to the damage it sustained in the fire. The small playground area and the rest of the park remain open (video below).
“The fire caused an estimated $1,000,000 in damage to the playground, and we are hoping with the support of community members like you, we can help offset the costs. Please consider supporting Montgomery Parks as it endeavors to restore the playground to its former glory!”
Park Police has been seeking the public’s assistance regarding information surrounding the fire that caused approximately $1 million in damage.
