Playa Bowls Opens Ocean City Location at 9am Saturday First 50 Customers Get Free Bowl and a Shirt

Montgomery County residents (local Playa Bowls proprietors) are opening a location in Ocean City, MD. The restaurant opens at 11651 Coastal Highway on Saturday , June 15th at 9am with the first fifty customer receiving a free bowl and t-shirt.

Playa Bowls takes over a two-story building that was previously home to Surf Sup Supply and used the first floor as the 891 SF restaurant and 803 SF on the second floor for employee housing.

Playa Bowls was founded by surfers Abby Taylor & Rob Giuliani, and “born out of the desire to recreate the delicious, refreshing, healthy versions of acai and pitaya bowls the pair encountered on various surf trips to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, California, and Hawaii.” They offer Açaí Bowls, Pitaya, Coconut Bowls, smoothies, and more.

The company has opened multiple locations in the DC Metro area in recent years. In Montgomery County, they have opened in Potomac, MD (Cabin John Village), Kensington (Knowles Station), Olney (Fair Hill), Gaithersburg (known as Playa Bowls Darnestown), and most recently in Chevy Chase.
