Nate Bergman, a Montgomery County, MD native who has been touring the world since embarking on his solo career, is hitting his stride. Bergman was just included on Classic Rock magazine’s ‘Hot List’ as an artist to keep an eye on.
As Bergman, the former frontman for Lionize, prepares for his new single “Deep End” to be released, he begins his European tour that will start this month in Germany and take him to the United Kingdom and Ireland through the end of July.
The Kennedy High School alumnus (Silver Spring, MD) grew up off of Randolph Rd in a neighborhood near his high school and attended Glenallen Elementary School and E Brooke Lee Middle School (now Odessa Shannon MS). His favorite restaurant “was and always will be Stained Glass Pub in Glenmont.”
Per Classic Rock magazine: “It’s been a turbulent period for the former Lonize frontman. Following his decision to fly solo as a soulful modern-day troubadour (think Bruce Springsteen packing the emotional punch of Sam Cooke – all of which is captured in his big, commanding 2022 album Metaphysical Change – along with streaks of country and blues), he found himself emerging from the pandemic, cut on the road and, ultimately, coming to the end of a 10-year relationship. All the while he carried on touring, absorbing and writing, sowing soods for hard-hitting music of real class and depth.
Now with a string of UK shows coming up in July – in support of rising dark folk/country/metal crossover star Amigo The Devil along with ashơw at 2000 Trees festival – he looks set to reap the silver linings of those darker days, with new singles like “Back To Nashville” showcasing the sweet and heavy sides of his voice. Powerful opening statements for this next wave of his creative journey.”
