Tara Thai will be permanently closing its Rockville location at 12071 Rockville Pike in Montrose Crossing, a representative confirmed this afternoon.
The longtime local favorite will be closing its doors forever on Sunday, June 30th. Tara Thai closed its Westfield Montgomery Mall location (7101 Democracy Blvd, Bethesda) last year. Brio’s Chicken has taken over the spot at the mall.
The Gaithersburg location, at 9811 Washington Blvd in Rio, closed back in April 2022 and has since been replaced by Charley Prime. There is no word yet on any possible replacement for the restaurant at the shopping center.
