The National Weather Service (NWS) has stated that an “active weather day looms ahead” amidst hot temperatures rising into the mid/upper 90s (heat indices of 100-105).
In addition to the heat, a couple rounds of thunderstorms are possible today, some becoming severe this afternoon & evening. Per the NWS, multiple rounds of severe weather are possible, the risk runs from 2pm-10pm, and wind damage is possible. Almost the entire area is in the “slight risk” category.
