Six Free Splash Pads to Beat the Heat

It’s summertime and the weather is hot! Our team has put together a list of six  free splash pads across the county you can take the little ones to beat the heat and have a little fun while doing so. Check them out below and feel free to comment with any free splash pads we may have missed:

Good Hope Sprayground (14715 Good Hope Rd. Silver Spring, MD)

Hours Mon – Thurs: 11 am – 6 pm, Fri – Sat 12 pm – 6 pm, Closed Sundays. Open from June 15 – August 24

Parking Rec Center parking lot

Bathrooms available in the recreation center

 

Rockville Town Square (36 Maryland Ave. Rockville, MD)

Hours Mon – Sat: 11 am – 8 pm, Sun 12 pm – 8 pm

Tuesdays – turn off at 6 pm for Cardio Dance in the Square

Fridays – turn off at 3:30 pm for the Concert Series

Parking First 2 hours free in nearby parking garages

Bathrooms none specific to the splash pad, restaurants and library within walking distance

 

Rose Park at Pike and Rose (11878 Grand Park Ave. North Bethesda)

There are 2 water play areas you can find at Pike and Rose. In front of Trade Street Garage by Kuushi and Summer House are interactive penguins that spray water with the push of a button.  Rose Park by Julii has fountains where littles can fill up cups and play.
