In December we let you know that Nash & Smash, a restaurant that serves Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, smash burgers, and more, is coming soon to MoCo. Construction began this spring and now permanent signage is up at the restaurant, according to a photo sent in to us by My Dad’s Chips (who was making a delivery at nearby Santucci’s Deli).
The new restaurant will be coming soon to 10121 Colesville Rd in the Woodmoor Shopping center and will be the first in Montgomery County. It is taking over the space that was most recently home to Subway, in between Bento and Woodmoor Cleaners. An opening date is not yet available.
The new Virginia-based restaurant group has recently opened locations in Ellicott City and Laurel in Maryland and Manassas, Herndon, and Ashburn in Virginia. The restaurant has noted that its menu is halal. They have recently opened locations in Manassas, Ashburn, and Herndon in VA, and Ellicott City and Laurel in Maryland.
Nash & Smash has been looking to open restaurants in the DC Metro area- looking for spaces in DC, Maryland, and Virginia in the last year, according to commercial real estate company Rappaport: “Nash & Smash keeps the menu simple: Nashville-style fried chicken sandwiches and smash-burgers along with creative sides and drinks. What makes this concept extra special is the use of locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, making Nash & Smash a true farm-to-table dining experience.”
