Khyree Jackson, a Wise HS Alumnus and 2024 Minnesota Vikings Draft Pick, Has Passed Away at 24

The Dr. Henry A. Wise Athletic Department confirmed the passing of Khyree Jackson, 24, Saturday morning.

The Prince George’s County native graduated from Wise in 2017 and won a state championship at the school in 2016. Jackson ended his college football career at Oregon where he earned First Team All-PAC 12 honors. He was a 2024 4th round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings.

According to various reports, Jackson was killed in a car crash on Friday night in Maryland. In a post on social media Saturday morning, Wise Athletics wrote, “The Dr. Henry A. Wise Athletic Department wrote sends condolences to the families and mourns the loss of Khyree Jackson (State Champ 2016 c/o ’17)”

Based on the athletic department’s social media post, former student athletes “Anthony Lytton, Jr. (AJ) (State Champ 2015,16,17 c/o ’18) and Isaiah Hazel (State Champ 2015, 16, 17 c/o ’19)” have also passed away.
