Local High Schools Now Featured in New NCAA 25 Video Game Thanks to Kind Resident

Local resident Ron Diehl, who runs the @ghs_sports_snaps account on instagram, highlighting athletics for Gaithersburg High School, wanted to give the kids something cool they can enjoy over the summer– so he used the Team Builder feature in the new NCAA 25 video game to create local high school (and college) teams that are downloadable in the game.

“I wanted to do something to maybe inspire them to share, help and make cool things I guess.” Diehl told us. “Also my kids went to Gaithersburg and I think they get a kick out of seeing what I make.” Diehl started by creating the Gaithersburg Trojans, complete with the school’s real logo, jerseys, and even a stadium.

He didn’t stop there. Since creating Gaithersburg, he has also added Clarksburg, Wheaton, Northwest, Damascus, and Walter Johnson high schools from here in Montgomery County. “I only have room to make 32 and have made seven so far, including the Seagulls of Salisbury University.

“Not sure on how many more. If people/schools have the helmet logo in hi res they can send to the snaps account. Then I can find other graphics to go with them.” Diehl shared. He has had requests from Frederick County and various other schools in the area.

If anyone is interested in the free download, they can search for his EA user name, AMP_088 (that is a zero). So far there have been over 100 downloads of the MoCo high schools and almost 300 downloads of Salisbury University after the school’s Athletics X account shared Diehl’s creation.
