The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) and Hyundai will host a free anti-theft software upgrade event August 2-4 at Paint Branch High School (14121 Old Columbia) in Burtonsville.
This event is open to 2011-2021 Hyundai vehicle owners and lessees, and will offer free software solutions to help prevent a method of theft popularized on social media. No appointment or ID is required, and there is no cost to attend. Additionally, all Hyundai owners will receive a free steering wheel lock.
The event takes place Friday, August 2, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, August 3, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, August 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
