The City of Gaithersburg is continuing to plan and design the renovation of Walder Park, which is located at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and West Deer Park Drive and is an existing park that was built in the early 1970s.
The City has created a brief survey to gather community input for usage information and preference of possible amenities for the renovation of Walder Park. The park is approximately 2.8 acres. Some of the existing park features may remain located where they are or be relocated to a new location (map below).
The intent of the project is to perform a renovation of the entire park site to provide updated amenities, new additional features, and address issues with stormwater runoff into neighboring properties. Photos courtesy of Google Maps.
