The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has announced it is investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday night on Shady Grove Road in Redland.
According to police, “at approximately 9:53 p.m., 1st and 6th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to Shady Grove Rd., north of the intersection of Briardale Rd. for the report of a single-vehicle collision.
For reasons still under the investigation, the driver of a gray 1999 Acura TL lost control and hit a tree. The adult female driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.“
