The Watkins Mill Cluster is Gearing Up For Annual Back-To-School Block Party

The 2024-25 school year is just around the corner, and Watkins Mill High School is gearing up for its annual Back-to-School Block Party on Saturday, September 14th.

This year, ‘Community Schools’ is taking over the Watkins Mill Cluster. Community Schools work in collaboration with community partners, local governments, and other stakeholders to provide wraparound services that address barriers to learning and success. The Watkins Mill cluster is the first in the county with all schools as Community Schools.

Watkins Mill HS Community School Liaison Grecia Albarracin has shared the following about the event. “Join us for an exciting block party featuring all 7 of our schools. Our goal is to provide valuable resources to our families, introduce you to our amazing staff, and have a blast while doing it!

Right now, we’re looking for businesses to help make this event even more special by offering free fun activities and/or giveaways for our students and families.”

The block party takes place on September 14th at Watkins Mill High School from 12pm until 3pm. Anyone interested in participating can reach out to @wmhs_csl (instagram) or [email protected] to get involved. The Watkins Mill cluster consists of:
