Raku Reopens After 23 Week Remodeling Closure

Raku, a popular sushi spot located at , has reopened after an approximate 23 week closure for a remodeling project. The restaurant recently shared the following message on its website site prior to opening:

“It’s been 23 weeks since we last saw you. It’s taken 3 times longer than our original plan. Finally, we are days away from reopening! Thank you to Bethesda community and all of you, who’ve given us support for the past 27 years. We hope to see you in our newly remodeled space.”

Raku closed its Bethesda restaurant to remodel on March 4th for what they originally planned to be a two month remodeling project. The restaurant has been a popular destination for sushi in the area since 1996, with an additional Raku location at Cathedral Heights in NW DC, Rakuya in NW DC, and Rakugaki in Bethesda. Photo courtesy Raku on Facebook.
