Captain David Smith, Commander of the Montgomery County Police Department’s (MCPD) fourth district, shared information on Friday regarding an arrest made at Wheaton Mall.
According to Smith, the MCPD Central Business District (CBD) team responded to Macy’s at Wheaton Mall to assist the store’s loss prevention department with a theft.
While assisting, police also recovered this gun that was stolen over a year prior from vehicle in DC. An arrest was made and Smith thanked the Macy’s loss prevention team for the assist in catching the suspect.
