MCPS recently shared that Blair senior Tejusvi Vijay was named a Youth Volunteer of the Year during the 13th annual Montgomery Serves Awards earlier this summer.
The awards were given by Montgomery County Executive Mark Elrich and the Montgomery County Volunteer Center who recognized individuals and organizations for service and volunteerism.
According to MCPS, “Tejusvi is a senior in the Science, Math and Computer Science Magnet Program at Montgomery Blair High School. She promotes diversity and inclusivity in STEM through her volunteer service. She has served as a volunteer coach and a mentor for girls and launched the Lego Club for English Language Learners at Blair. She also serves on Councilmember Laurie Sayles’s youth advisory council.”
