District 4 Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander David Smith shared several incidents that occurred around Wheaton on Friday night, including arrests for distribution of fentanyl, handgun possession, and stolen headphones.

- Veirs Mill Road @ Randolph Road. 2 Arrested for distribution of fentanyl as a result of 4D working a community complaint.
- Wheaton Mall @ 11160 Veirs Mill Road. 2 Arrested for theft and Handgun Possession. Weapon is a privately manufactured firearm. Thank you to Target Loss Prevention for the assist.
- Best Buy @ 10901 Georgia Avenue. 2 Arrested for theft and fraud. 65 stolen airpod max headphones were recovered due to an alert Best Buy loss prevention officer and an off duty MCPD officer who initiated the stop. Numerous fake headphones also recovered.
