Earlier this year we let you know that TOUS les JOURS, a French-Asian bakery will be taking over the space currently occupied by Corner Bakery in Rio. Corner Bakery’s last day of business in Rio was Thursday, February 22nd. Exterior construction has begun and it has included the removal of the clock that was part of the Corner Bakery decor for more than 25 years.
Interior construction began a couple months back when the space was gutted in preparation for TOUS Les JOURS. Now, the facade will be getting a facelift as well. For a short time, the sidewalk in front of the location will be closed so crossing will have to take place on the True Food Kitchen/Dick’s Sporting Goods side.
The French-Asian Bakery features a variety of breads, pastries, and cakes that are baked in-store daily, as well as a wide selection of coffee/espresso based drinks and teas. A separate TOUS Les JOURS franchise (different owners) can be found inside of New Grand Mart (13069 Wisteria Dr) in Germantown. An opening date is not yet available for the Rio location.
