Man Found Floating in Potomac River Rescued by MCFRS, Taken to Hospital in Critical Condition

On Wednesday morning, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services’ (MCFRS) Swift Water Rescue Team responded to a medical emergency on the trail near the Potomac River’s Angler Boat Ramp, where they found an adult male floating in the water. The man, in critical condition, received medical care before being transported to the VA hospital.

According to MCFRS Spokesperson David Pazos Twitter/X, “Update~Today(@1120am) @mcfrs Swift Water Team members were dispatched to the Potomac River(Angler Boat Ramp) for a person floating in the water. Crews located and provided medical care to 1 adult male in critical condition, before transporting to the VA hospital.”
