Local Police Officer Participates in 2024 Tour De Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride, Helping to Raise Over Half a Million Dollars for Fallen Officers’ Families

The Takoma Park Police Department has announced that Officer Mark Elfadl recently participated in the 2024 Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride, an incredible accomplishment that raised an impressive total of $528,137. This money will benefit the families of law enforcement officers who have been killed in the line of duty.


According to Takoma Park Police, “Officer Elfadl’s debut in the Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride was both inspiring and impactful. As a first-time participant, he made a remarkable contribution to this noble cause, raising an impressive $2,520.
The 2024 Tour de Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride was a grueling four-day challenge, which Officer Elfadl undertook with determination. Here’s a breakdown of his remarkable journey:

  • Day 1: 65 miles with 587 feet of elevation
  • Day 2: 76.5 miles with 797 feet of elevation
  • Day 3: 71.5 miles with 646 feet of elevation
  • Day 4: 42 miles with 436 feet of elevation

The physical challenge was significant, but the cause was greater.
