Nothing Bundt Cakes has signed on at Edmonton Crossing, according to Paraclete Realty. It will be taking over the space that was the longtime home of Sun’s Carpet and Floors at 1032 Rockville Pike, between Uptown Cheapskate and Angkor Nails and Spa.
Nothing Bundt Cakes got its start in Las Vegas in 1997 and currently has over 600 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Montgomery County locations in Bethesda, Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Silver Spring. The Germantown location at at 20650 Seneca Meadows Pkwy is the most recent MoCo location, having opened in March.
The now Dallas-based company has grown into the nation’s largest specialty cake company and was recently named Yelp’s 2024 No. 26 Fastest Growing Brand and ranked No. 84 in the 2024 Technomic Top 500 Chain Restaurant Report.
Nothing Bundt Cakes opened 84 bakeries in 2023. Its 600th bakery is the 41st new location so far in 2024. The brand has stated that it is on track to become one of the highest-growth companies in the industry over the next few years, with more sites in the development pipeline as it expands in new and existing markets.
