Butler’s Orchard (22222 Davis Mill Rd. in Germantown) Pumpkin Festival returned this year on September 21st and runs until November 3. This year, admission includes access to Pick Your Own Pumpkins, hay rides, tractor pulls, straw mazes, giant slides, and more, but Butler’s has also produced its “newest, biggest attraction yet”– a new playground.
Butler’s shared on social media that “This new playground features beautiful Amish-built houses and more than 10 slides of all sizes!” The official launch of the newest addition coincided with the start of the Pumpkin Festival. Butler’s wrote, “we are so excited for you to check it out! A big thank you to the team at @piazzaconstructionservicesinc for their amazing work!”
Butler’s Orchard Farm Market started under an apple tree behind the log house selling peaches. Later, it moved to a former chicken house that still stands on the property as a garage. The red barn was built in 1964 and over the years they have increased the variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables they grew and sold. In the 1970’s, they began selling additional products in our Farm Market, including preserves, local honey, gourmet condiments, seasonal decorative items, cider, and more. In 1993, they outgrew our original red barn and expanded the Farm Market to the current facility that you can visit today.
