Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a single-family house fire on Maidens Bower Ct in Potomac around 2am on Friday.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire was caused by an accidental malfunction of an e-bike charger, which ignited nearby combustibles. The damage is estimated at $5,000, and one adult with non-life-threatening injuries was treated on scene.
An occupant of the home was awakened by smoke and everyone safely evacuated.
