Germantown Native Ivan Carlo Lands Supporting Role in Upcoming Horror Flick ‘Smile 2’

Smile 2, the upcoming  psychological supernatural horror film written and directed by Parker Finn, will be  in theaters on October 18th. The film, which is a sequel to 2022’s Smile, stars Naomi Scott as a pop singer who begins to experience a series of increasingly disturbing events as she is about to go on tour. Montgomery Count my native Ivan Carlo has told us he has landed a supporting role in the film (movie trailer below).

Ivan Carlo grew up in Germantown– attending Clopper Mill Elementary School, Roberto Clemente Middle School, and Northwest High School before moving on to the University of Maryland. Carlo credits Northwest High School’s production of “Hairspray” as his inspiration for getting into acting, according to an interview in Newscene Magazine.

Prior to his role in Smile 2, he had roles in HBO’s “Gossip Girl” reboot, Tinder’s Emmy nominated interactive series Swipe Night, an appearance on Queen Latifah’s CBS series The Equalizer, ant Oxygen’s One Deadly Mistake, among other roles.
