The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle that occurred on Saturday night in Rockville.
According to MCPD, “At approximately 7:21 p.m., Montgomery County Department of Police – 1st District officers and Fire Rescue were dispatched to Rockville Pike at Tuckerman Lane for the report of a motorcyclist struck.
An adult male was pronounced dead at the scene, despite attempted life-saving measures.
The driver of the striking vehicle, a Toyota Minivan, remained on scene and was transported to an area hospital.
The MCPD Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and is investigating this collision. There is an extended road closure on northbound and southbound Rockville Pike at Tuckerman Lane.”
