Dogfish Head Alehouse, located at 800 W. Diamond Ave in Gaithersburg, has been sold to new owners—a restaurant group based out of Virginia. The new owners purchased the alehouse from JMGM Group LLC, which had operated the restaurant since its opening in 2005.
The restaurant will continue as Dogfish Head under the new ownership, which plans to retain the current staff and menu. In addition to its craft beer selection, Dogfish Head Alehouse offers a range of dishes, including burgers, crab cakes, jambalaya, pizzas, and smoked barbecue.
Dogfish Head Alehouse is owned and operated independent from the Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton, DE and operates through a licensing agreement.
The Dogfish Head Alehouse at 6220 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church, VA closed in 2022 and the Dogfish Alehouse at 13041 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy in Fairfax, VA closed in 2023.
Before becoming Dogfish Head Alehouse, 800 W. Diamond Ave was home to Pat & Mike’s, Il Costello, and West Diamond Grille. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
