Montgomery County Man Arrested on Multiple Charges for Retail Theft

The Leesburg Police Department arrested a Takoma Park, Maryland man in connection with a series of retail thefts at several local businesses.


According to police, “On October 17, 2024, at approximately 3:49 p.m., officers responded to the Burberry store at the Leesburg Premium Outlet Mall, 241 Fort Evans Road NE, Leesburg, for a report of two individuals who removed merchandise without paying. One of the subjects fled the scene in a vehicle and the other ran on foot. Officers were able to locate the individual in the car and recovered the stolen merchandise from the Burberry store. The identity of the subject who ran on foot remains under investigation.

Further investigation revealed additional stolen merchandise in the suspect’s vehicle, linked to other thefts in the area from Adidas, Nike, and Sunglass Hut (241 Fort Evans Road NE). Additional charges were obtained on October 22, 2024, related to those incidents.

Cleiderson Requena Ramos, 27, of Takoma Park, MD, was arrested and charged with:
• Two counts of conspiracy to commit larceny (felony)
• Two counts of larceny over $1,000 (felony)
• Two counts of larceny under $1,000 (misdemeanor)

Ramos was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where he remains held without bond. Anyone with further information is asked to contact the LPD using one of the methods below.
