Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect in Bethesda Smoke Shop Burglary

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to a burglary that occurred on Saturday, September 14 at Smoke Island in the 7900 block of Norfolk Ave in Bethesda.

The suspected is described as “unknown race male, wearing a black ski mask, a black sweater, a green sling bag, grey pants and black shoes.”  According to police, at 2:23 a.m., the suspect walked to the store, looked inside the store through the front glass door and left the scene. At 2:30 p.m., the suspect arrived at the store in a white SUV, forced entry into the store by breaking the front door with an unknown object, stole property and left the scene in the SUV, which was occupied by additional unknown suspects.
