Anne Arundel County Police shared that on November 6, 2024, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers were called to the area of Dorsey Road and Asphalt Road for a fatal vehicle crash involving Melvin Obdulio Jimenez Y Jimenez of Montgomery County.
According to police, the investigation revealed that an Acura RSX was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of Dorsey Road when it struck an FRHT box truck head-on. Melvin Obdulio Jimenez Y Jimenez Of Silver Spring was the driver of the Acura and was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the box truck was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with minor injuries. The Traffic Safety Section is investigating this crash.
