Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire on the 12100 block of Livingston Street in Wheaton, where an elderly woman sustained critical burn injuries and later died.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, firefighters extinguished the fire after it was reported by a neighbor. The incident caused an estimated $250,000 in damages and has displaced one family. The cause of the fire remains under investigation but is believed to be accidental.
