Khana Claypot Replacement Signs On

‘Khana a Claypot Grille’ closed permanently at the end of September after approximately ten years at 15616 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville. Its replacement did not take long to sign on at the once again fully leased Burtonsville Town Square shopping center with Quickway signing a lease to open a new restaurant.

Quickway will open its 8th Montgomery County location right next to Jersey’s Mike’s. The restaurant signed on soon after Khana closed approximately two months ago. No word on an opening timeframe just yet, but mid-year is certainly possible. Their signature hibachi chicken dish is available for $9.25 and additional meals range in price from $9.25 to $13.85. Bento boxes, beef, shrimp, tofu, salmon, sushi, poke bowls and more are also available.

The regional chain opened its 7th MoCo location in Travilah Square last year, 6th MoCo location in Olney in 2022, and its 5th MoCo location in Stone Mill Square (Korean Korner shopping center) before that. Quickway which can now be found in 10 different counties across the DMV since opening its first location in 2012.

Per the Quickway website, “we bring the Teppanyaki (teppan, Japanese for griddle: yaki, grill, broiled) cooking technique to a quick service restaurant setting. The proteins are prepared fresh on the open grill in your full view, a true cooked to order signature dish. We offer choices of salads, sides, and sushi, all prepared from All Day Freshingredients and homemade sauces. Plus, we really care if you have a cool place to eat. We build our space to be clean, convenient and modern. Of course, our food is healthy, with reduced salt, no trans fat, and no MSG.
