Erin McGoff, Montgomery County Native Who Created @AdviceWithErin, Makes 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 List

Erin McGoff, a Silver Spring native who graduated from Washington Christian Academy in Olney in 2013, has made the 2025 Forbes 30 Under 30 List in the ‘Social Media’ category. Her popular social media advice accounts have garnered over 6 million followers across all platforms.

Per Forbes, “Erin McGoff has built an online audience of more than 5 million doling out career and life advice to Gen Z and millennials. The former journalist and filmmaker educates her followers on critical life skills that aren’t taught in school–like writing resumes, how credit cards work, job interview etiquette and how to spot financial scams. This year, McGoff premiered her new YouTube show “No One Knows What They’re Doing,” where she covers topics like “Should I move to Europe?” or “How do I negotiate my salary?” through both sit-down and interview style videos. She’s been awarded a Pulitzer Fellowship, Webby Honor and Clio Prize and was a VidCon Featured Creator.”
