On Friday, Governor Wes Moore announced that Eric Luedtke will transition from his role as the governor’s chief legislative officer to senior policy advisor, with Jeremy Baker, currently chief of staff to Maryland House Speaker Adrienne A. Jones, stepping into the position on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
“I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Eric Luedtke in recognition of his unwavering passion for serving the people of Maryland,” said Gov. Moore. “I look forward to Eric’s continued contribution to our team in his new role as senior policy advisor as we welcome Jeremy Baker to the Moore-Miller Administration.”
Baker first began working for the Speaker’s office in 2008 before transitioning to work in Howard County government and the Baltimore Metropolitan Council in 2012. He returned to the Maryland General Assembly as senior advisor to the late Speaker Michael Busch in 2015. He has served as chief of staff to House Speaker Adrienne Jones since 2021.
“I am grateful to have served the Maryland House of Delegates, an institution that creates opportunity for those who want to serve the people,” said Jeremy Baker. “Speaker Busch and Speaker Jones led with this sense of public service at the center of their own lives, and I look forward to continuing my own public service with Governor Moore.”
